Baptism of the Holy Spirit Part X 090524
Blessings Saints of God,
As we continue our study this week on the baptism of the Holy Spirit, I want you to dive into the Word of God for yourself. If you desire to know more, carefully study the book of The Acts of the Apostles - really the acts of the Holy Spirit through the apostles. Start your study with John 14:12 and then read through the Acts.
Jesus said that if we believed on Him, we would do the works that He did. That really means to believe all His Words, to do as He did in obedience to the Father and to be a willing vessel for the Holy Spirit. This is the first step.
He did not begin His ministry until He was indued with power from on high, after being baptized in the river Jordan. He told His disciples to be filled with the Spirit. If we are His disciples too, then we should be filled with His Spirit.
He told His disciples that they should wait in Jerusalem (Acts 1) for the baptism of the Holy Ghost and fire. He told them not to begin their ministry until they received the promise of the Spirit from the Father - the baptism of the Holy Spirit. As they believed Him and acted on His Words, this was fulfilled in Acts 2.
They then begin to do the works of the ministry, just like He did - preaching, teaching and healing.
His Words are for us today. We should be doing the works, just like He did, by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Believe on His Words, be filled with the Holy Spirit and with Fire. Be a blessing to a lost and dying world.
In Him,
Karen and Jim Noble

Thank you for the posting. At present, I am reading the book of Matthew and was waiting on instruction from God as to where I should go next. Having read through the Bible before, I needed direction, so thank you for hearing from God and passing that along to us. As I am finishing Matthew, I will begin the Book of Acts. God Bless you!

Blessings to you as well. Don't forget to read John 14:1-16 before you start the book of Acts.
